This is home

Everyday I wake up and remind myself that this is home. In the words of Jon Forman "this is home and I'm finally where I belong where I belong ya this is home" I have been on missions trips before but they only lasted about 7-10 days. When ur only staying somewhere for 10 days you don't need to call it home. But I've realized that I will live here for the next 3 months that to me is a long enough time to call this place home. This is where I belong. This is we're God has put me in this chapter of my life. Is it scary? Yes very much so.

This week was a really nice week we just relaxed did a few jobs here and there but it was nice. My team and I were able to plant a lot of mango and avocado trees at a orphanage. It was really hot but it was also a good experience. We went to a small town and hung out with the kids one day which was also really amazing. On Saturday we went to the beach and man was it nice. The waves were nice and big and the water was perfect. However the salt water kept throwing me off. I always just swim in lake Erie and its way different aha. But that was a nice day to relax. This week me and my buddy are actually speaking at church on Tuesday night. I'd really appreciate it if you could keep that in your prays as it will be difficult because we don't have a translator.

One of the coolest things is that we have this active volcano right in our backyard. It is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. Then a couple days ago it started erupting and the smoke was crazy wicked lucky nothing bad happened it was just really cool to see.

Well next Saturday is when I will throw up a new blog I'm hoping anyways. And it will include more detail of what we did during the week, and I'm sure god is going to do crazy awesome things this week and I'm so excited to share it with all of you guys.

Thanks again for everything you guys do back at home for me. I am so blessed to have family and friends like you guys!!

God bless
